Welcome to Billings, Montana - junction of the new west & the old legends.
Billings is located in southeast Montana, close to Yellowstone National Park and the Tetons; the Little Big Horn Battlefield & Pompey's Pillar; and in the shadow of the Beartooth Mountains.
When the de la Verendrye brothers were seeking a passageway to the Pacific for King Louis XIV of France in the winter of 1743, they saw these beautiful, snow covered mountains and called this area the "Land of Shining Mountains".
We are Shining Mountain Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution.

Here we are at our December meeting. We enjoyed a lovely home, a tasty lunch, good company, a business meeting, and a program leaving everyone with a holiday gift. Everyone had a good time and we are looking forward to a promising new year.
